Toska European Spa: My New Obsession
One of the best parts of being home in Charlotte, NC was getting pampered at Toska Spa by Toska Husted herself. I have been dying to get on her waiting list for a long time, and I was lucky enough to have her walk me through her products and specialties during my Natural Prenatal Facial! Thank you, Toska for changing the skincare game and for bringing my skin back to life!!
So, WHAT is all the rave about??? Well, it's even more than it's hyped up to be!! Toska Spa uses the finest and most highly acclaimed French skincare line Biologique Recherche. Um.... here's a little secret- Jennifer Aniston uses these products!! Every woman that I look up to for beauty + skincare advice goes to Toska... and SWEARS by their facials and products. (The P50 being the #1 raved about item by everyone!!) I was always a little skeptical because of the price- I have never been one to splurge on my skin! Well... now I get it. I never splurged because I never saw so much CHANGE!
They have tons of facial treatment options- you can see her entire list from classic facials to lab treatments HERE. Unfortunately she was limited to only natural products she could use on me due to being pregnant. But the results were amazing! I wish I took before + after photos but it was early in the morning and I completely forgot!!
During my facial Toska lifted, sculpted, purified and refined my skin. My skin + pores felt so much tighter and cleaner. There were a few imperfections (hello, pregnancy hormones!) that I had been trying to clear up for weeks... Toska cleared them up in a matter of minutes! I couldn't believe it!! I learned that I was applying my skincare completely wrong- starting with the P50 (it's similar to a toner but does SO much more... keep reading!) you add each product to your skin in a gentle UPWARD motion. Beating + fighting gravity with every application! If you apply your skincare in an aggressive downward motion you will eventually pull your skin down (causing wrinkles-- nooo!).
I left feeling like a new woman, and can honestly say that my skin is noticeably different! My best friend Anita who introduced me to Toska (and swears by her products) texted me the other day because she could see a difference in my skin on my stories! Thank Nits- love ya. :)
All of the products that she used I went home with- either in full size or sample size. I even went home and gave my mom a mini facial with some of my new products!!
Here's what I'm using and loving right now- all of these products are safe during pregnancy. I'm listing them in order of how I'm using them!
1. Lotion P50

Here it is! The famous P50. There are 7 different options of P50... this option is safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Anyone who isn't pregnant or nursing should start with the P50V 1970. After you wash your face, gently apply this morning and night with a cotton pad. I'm not going to lie... this stuff kind of smells weird- like apple cider vinegar. But after I apply my moisturizers I can't smell it! It soaks right in. This toner exfoliates, purifies, and moisturizes your skin... it's like a 3 in 1 and it has made ALL the difference in the tightness and plump-ness (is that a word?) in my skin!! You can FEEL this stuff working, I love that it leaves my skin with a tingle... I know that it's tightening and firming! If you try anything, TRY THIS!!

3. Crème PIGM 400

I have been mixing this with a sample of Creme Masque Vernix- which is a facial cream mask that can be worn as a cream or used as a mask! It gives your skin a really plump + revitalized feeling.
4. Crème Grand Millésime
Creme Grande Millesime | Regenerating + Hydrating Cream
THIS stuff is incredible. It actually has a "glow" to it... this revitalizing beauty cream combines cellular extracts and a highly efficient phyto-biological antioxidant complex to rejuvenate the skin on a daily basis. It conditions your skin and leaves it looking fresh and glowing. I LOVE this product!!
5. Masque VIP O2
Masque VIP 02 | Oxygenating Complex Face Mask
I have been using this mask three times a week... let me tell you, I wake up with the softest skin!! It has all 5 star reviews and is one of the gentlest masks I've ever used! It's great for sensitive skin. The oxygenating complex stimulates and revitalizes the skin... You just need to go see Toska, because she can explain it all much better than I can! A little goes a long way and you only need to let it sit for about 20 minutes! I have been using it before bed, rinsing it off, and applying the above 4 steps before bed!
