Yay! It's finally here: our Wendy Bellissimo Nursery Reveal! I am so incredibly grateful to have worked closely with Wendy Bellissimo on this project, she helped bring the nursery of my DREAMS to life and it is now our very favorite room in our home! From window treatments to paint color, Wendy was behind the scenes helping me make all of the best decisions. I have had the privilege of knowing her and her beautiful family and even enjoyed a few italian dinners at their gigantic family dinner table... and it goes without question, Wendy's eye for design is one of a kind. She is so talented and her California home is the perfect representation of her creations!! You have to follow her for all interior + family inspo (@wendybellissimo)... mother to four amazing daughters, all of the dogs and chickens, wife to an awesome dad and drives her Jeep around like the coolest mom in the 'hood. Not to mention she's the OG Girl Boss! I want to be Wendy!!!!
I guess you could say I kind of have a girl crush on this multi-hat-wearing, relatable, gorgeous mama. And y'all, her heart is as big as her smile. I could go on for days about Wendy, but back to the nursery!
David and I have totally different taste in home decor. I like everything to be white, grey, or neutral.... David on the other hand would love to live in a rainbow. Literally. Luckily, he agreed to my vision of a neutral, peaceful, calming environment for our nursery... with the promise that he gets to have a crazy big boy room one day, FINE. The awesome part about having a neutral nursery for our firstborn is that it will also work for a baby girl one day! Just throw in a splash of pink in the room and she'll fit right in!
We first decided on the color scheme (white + grey) and I fell in LOVE with Wendy's Hudson Crib Bedding Collection... the theme is white, grey, and elephants! Elephants have always been one of my favorite animals and their symbolism (strength, compassion, loyalty, family) was special to incorporate in Easton's nursery! The best part about her Hudson Collection is that it has MANY gender neutral options to choose from and all of the pieces were easy to mix + match with the rest of Wendy's pieces in the room! We mixed the Hudson bedding, throw pillows, blankets and wall decor with her Inspirations Collection as well as her custom window treatment line for Smith & Noble! The Inspirations Convertible Crib also turns into a headboard for when Easton is in a big boy bed! All of the items from her beautiful collections flow easily together which makes for a really seamless room.
I could not be happier with how this sweet space turned out... it is the perfect, bright and peaceful space for our baby boy. It really makes my heart burst every time I walk by his room!! I cannot wait to watch him grow in it! Thank you so much to my beautiful friend, Wendy Bellissimo, for designing this amazing space and bringing my nursery dreams to life!! David and I spent so much time in here before Easton was born... many nights we just laid on the floor and prayed over this space for our son. David also read the Chronicles of Narnia to my belly! We chose to paint the room white and I am so glad we did! It really brightened the space. Can you believe how much white paint can change a space from the before photos?!
